‘Amisha is all her grandmother had’--Vikram Bhatt in DC
12:24 AM
Amisha NEWS
Amisha and I have a common friend, actually she is more Amisha’s friend than mine and I met her when I was with Amisha. Her name is Shalini and she lives in New York. So, on a trip to New York whilst Amisha was busy shopping, Shalu, as we call her, and I were having some corn on the cob and discussing life when the conversation veered to Amisha and her grandmother. Both of us knew that the closest person to Amisha was her grandmother and she was quite like Amisha’s sole support system. Shalu bit into the corn and said, “You know Vikram? I shudder to think what would happen to Amisha if her grandmother should die.” What followed was a silence and as we continued chomping away, the taste had suddenly left the cob. We both knew it would have a devastating impact on Amisha.
Dissolve, as we say in film terms to the present and four days back I read a news item saying that Amisha broke into the house of her grandmother who is now dead and stole some personal items. I closed my eyes and shook my head. Nonsense I said to myself. Balderdash.
The first impulse of people who have moved on is to say to oneself, “What does it matter to me?” and I did quite the same thing that day and then the gnawing feeling turned into a scream in my mind as the scream said, “It does matter!” How can it not matter? The world is filled with people who know the truth but won’t stand up to say it when it matters the most. I cannot be that person. The truth then!
Amisha is all that her grandmother had and her grandmother was all that Amisha had. I spent some beautiful times with the regal old lady. Well read, charming and extremely astute even at her age of 80-plus. She was wonderful and Amisha made her last days comfortable but more than anything, she filled those days with joy.
Any free day and she would go off to Pune, where her grandmother stayed, to spend time with her. She would take care of her personal items, sort the chauffeur and domestic help issues, buy her new furniture, take her out for dinner, just simply spoil her silly! It was heart wrenching and moving to watch. Any other actor would have made a PR brownie point issue about this but Amisha desisted.
We would bring her over to my house as well and spend Diwali together and sometimes even her birthday. Happy days.
We would bring her over to my house as well and spend Diwali together and sometimes even her birthday. Happy days.
What Amisha did was take away the loneliness of a lonely person and gave her a family. For Amisha, her grandmother’s house was a sanctuary. I know this.
I have seen this.
So I cannot sit by and read that Amisha is a thief! I do not know about the law and its aspects relating to this case, but emotionally speaking I know that every brick of that house belongs to the one girl who made her grandmother’s life worth living.
Amisha, if you are reading this, know that this is the way of the world and you will be accused of loving your grandmother with motive and reason but the one person you loved is watching and still loves you from above. Nani, (as she called her grandmother) is watching and she knows the truth and now, so does the world.

Amisha Patel is rather disturbed about being involved in the recent trespassing and theft case.
Amisha's lawyer Bindi Dave argues, "While a complaint has been filed by Amisha's uncles alleging that she stole articles from her grandmother's flat at Pune, it is frivolous.
Amisha was the only person who visited and looked after her grandmother at Pune and has bought most of the movables/domestic article(s) in the flat. In her will, Amisha's grandma has left her entire estate to her granddaughter, including the said flat. The question therefore of Amisha stealing anything does not arise. Wadia Ghandy has via his letters addressed the concerned police station, placed the above true facts on record. Amisha is also filing for a probate of the will. As regards to the purported gift deed relied upon by Amisha's uncles, no document has been produced despite her uncles having been called upon to do so. If and when such a document is produced, Amisha may, after being advised, adopt appropriate proceedings for cancellation of the same.
This statement is to clarify the matters as the complaint filed by the uncles seeks to tarnish Amisha's celebrity image."

'Loving every minute of being single'--Ameesha
9:29 AM
Amisha NEWS
Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, who was recently spotted at the screening of Break Ke Baad, spoke about her relationship with ex Kanav Puri and life after 'Break Ke Baad'.
What did you think of Break Ke Baad?
I quite liked it. It was sweet. Also Danish (Aslam, the director) has worked as an assistant on my film with Kunal (Kohli), so I wish him the best. Both Deepika and Imran are good in the film. I feel a lot of people might identify with the relationship between their characters. There are some moments in the film that real-life couples will relate to.
Did you relate to Deepika's character who puts her career above love in the film?
Not really. I don't think there is anything similar between the two of us. Things didn't work out between Kanav and me because of certain reasons. There aren't any parallels between the film and my life.
Recently, there were reports that you attended Kanav's b'day bash...
People have asked me this multiple times. But it isn't true. I had gone for my friend Kunal's birthday. He looks similar to Kanav, so people thought it was him. Kanav is in London and I haven't spoken to him in months.
Are you friends with Kanav after the break-up?
Well, I wouldn't say friends, but we aren't enemies either. The break up was mutual so there isn't any bad blood between us. He did call a while back congratulating me on an award I had won. But we aren't in touch on a regular basis.
So you are enjoying your single girl life?
I am loving every minute of being single. Life has been good post break up and I have nothing to complain about. We all go through situations in life that are challenging, but eventually everything works out for the best.

Ameesha walks out of "Rajdhani Express"
9:11 AM
Amisha NEWS
Amisha Patel, who was in the news recently for signing Rajdhani Express opposite Leander Paes, has developed cold feet and dumped the film; she has no interest in acting in it anymore supposedly because it has many bold scenes in it. Apparently, the actress was not at all comfortable with doing some very crucial scenes in the film, as they were explicitly bold.
Most importantly, she was required to play a flirtatious woman, who would do just about anything for money. So, the role was too brash for Amisha’s comfort.
Added to this, were a few steamy lovemaking scenes with Tennis star Leander Paes, which Amisha was apparently not at ease with. Hence, the actress has now walked out of the project.
Our source said, “The film has many love making scenes including a bold one with Paes. Amisha has to show a lot of skin and her character is also unapologetic for all that she does in the film. Amisha also had lines with bold language.
Her look in the film was designed in a manner to make her look forthright and vulgar, which Amisha was not happy about. So, when the director Ashok Kohli narrated the script to her she knew she was not cut out for it.
Amisha spoke to the director, who understood her point of view and agreed to let her go.”
When contacted, Amisha Patel said, “No, I am not doing the film anymore.”
The ball is clearly in Leander’s court; he will have to work his charms on a brand new actress now.

Amisha NEWS, Paramveerachakra Updates
Producer C. Kalyan and director Dasari Narayana Rao's Parama Veera Chakra will be further shot from November 8th to 25th in Hyderabad. The entire talkie portion of the film will be complete after this schedule. Only three songs remain to be picturised and these will be canned in Egypt, Kenya and Gudang. The previous schedule was shot in Kullu-Manali. While the movie will hit the screens for Sankranthi, the audio will be released in the last week of December. Mani Sharma provided the musical score. This is Dasari's 150th film as a director. The shooting of Paramveera Chakra has been happening in Ramoji Film City for sometime now. Ameesha Patel, who’s one of the heroines in the movie, is today shooting for some extremely emotional scenes.
Balayya Babu will be seen in two roles in Paramveera Chakra - one as an actor and one as a military officer. Ameesha Patel will play the lead opposite one of them. Neha Dhupia and Sheila play the other two heroines roles. As of now more than 60% of the movie has been completed.
