A marathon 30-day schedule of Parama Veera Chakra will begin on October 11th in Kullu Manali. Some key army scenes will be shot. The makers had obtained special permission from the Government to shoot in the hill station. The team has already completed shooting 50 percent of the talkie part, two songs and a poem. Three more songs are planned overseas. Sources close to the film reveal that Nandamuri Balakrishna, who plays an Army officer who fights for his country, will be seen in very different get-ups in the film.
Parama Veera Chakra stars Amisha Patel, Sheela and Neha Dhupia as the lead heroines. The film also features Kalyani in a key role. It is scheduled for a Sankranthi release.

Filmmaker Raj Kumar Santoshi today said his latest star studded film "Power" is contemporary issue based film and is slated for release in August next year. Talking to reporters after the mahurat shot, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn, Santoshi said the film, produced by Feroz Nadiadwala, will go on floor from October 4 in Mumbai. "After the first schedule here, we move to outdoors like Bhopal, Muscat and Dubai," he said adding that he was thankful to his stars for reposing faith in him. "I want to assure them that I will try my best to make a good film," he said. About the female leads, Santoshi said Lekha Washington is paired opposite Ajay Devgn while Ameesha Patel will play Sanjay Dutt's wife. Anuradha Patel will be seen opposite Amitabh Bachchan. "Lekha plays the character of Sneha, Bachchan's daughter," Santoshi said refusing to divulge details of the film's story. He said he is in talks with Kangana Ranaut to play another character in the movie. "The male lead opposite Kangana will be finalised within a week's time," Santoshi added. Union Minister of IT and Telecommunications Gurudas Kamat, who is also the local MP, gave the mahurat clap while filmmaker Prakash Jha rolled the camera. .

It was a rare moment of camaraderie as seven Bollywood divas lined up in the front row to attend designer Manish Malhotra’s show on Monday, at the ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai. Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta, Sameera Reddy, Sophie Choudry, Ameesha Patel and Urmila Matondkar sat next to each other, giggling and chatting. “The girls are all my friends.
