Ameesha Supported SRK in Slapgate Shrish kunder's Issue

Amisha NEWS
Sanjay Dutt throws a party at his house to celebrate the success of his latest film 'Agneepath'.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan reportedly beat up scriptwriter/director Shirish Kunder, the husband of once his close friend and director Farah Khan, at a party thrown on Sunday night in Mumbai by actor Sanjay Dutt to celebrate the success of his film Agneepath.
After the Shah Rukh-Salman brawl at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash in 2008, Khan again finds himself involved in a public fight. The grapevine is abuzz about Khan having punched Kunder at Dutt's party at a lounge bar in the city. The bust up is said to have occurred late at night when an irked Khan allegedly roughed up his former friend's husband, who has been very vocal against the film star.
According to reports, an inebriated Kunder was following Khan around and even entered the bathroom with him. An irritated Khan then allegedly pinned him to a sofa and punched and abused him. Despite repeated attempts Khan remained unavailable for comment. According to sources Dutt who had to intervene and separate the two, also slapped Kunder for allegedly sending lewd messages to his wife Manyata and for misbehaving with a girl at the party. Farah and Kunder spoke about the incident in a statement but denied they were going to pursue the matter with police.
Kunder took to his Twitter account to say: "Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing a FIR or police complaint."
Meanwhile Farah Khan's statement on the incident is as follows: "Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on and it saddens me to see him doing the same."
Khan had joined the party late at night after hosting the 57th Idea Filmfare Awards with Ranbir Kapoor. Once very good friends, Farah choreographed Khan in several of his films and directed him in 'Main Hoon Naa' and 'Om Shanti Om' but their friendship soured after she cast Akshay Kumar in 'Tees Maar Khan' in 2010. They tried to patch things up later but Kunder took potshots at Khan at the time of the release of his dream project RA.One.
The actor's enmity with Kunder apparently stems from the days when he refused to do his film 'Joker'. Kunder, who also once used to be close to Khan, occasionally blasts the actor on his twitter page, recently calling his sci-fi 'Ra.One' "a 150 cr firework fizzle". Two of the celebrities present at the party, however, came out in support of Khan, saying Kunder had it coming.
"Shahrukh is supr rockin.. Good he gave it 2 shirish. people shud learn 2 b grateful to king khan, aftrall he has been so supportive 2 farah. Glad@iamsrk told shirish off n put him in place. srk has done so much 4 farah. they shud b grateful n not abusing srk (sic)," Ameesha Patel tweeted.
She adds, “I have been looking at Shirish’s tweets and they are quite negative and very uncalled for. Shah Rukh has done a lot for Farah, and Shirish is ultimately known as her husband …he is now ruining it for her as well. She has got caught because of her silly husband. Ra.One was a very sincere effort ... Shah Rukh put in sweat and blood in the film. Whose films don’t flop? Farah’s biggest hits were with Shah Rukh and the one film she made without him flopped. He has given hit after hit and proved himself ... he is a senior. Juniors who are not even a patch on SRK should respect him instead of saying such things.”

"I was present at Sanj's party & Without Any Bias I Fully Support Shah Rukh (sic)," celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani tweeted.
IANS reported: Apparently, while guests were having a ball, at around 4:30 am, Shah Rukh entered the venue straight after the Filmfare awards with three of his bodyguards. According to eyewitnesses, he headed towards Kunder and roughed him up.
"We didn't know what was happening. We saw SRK enter. Then we saw him head towards Shirish from behind the director. SRK pulled Shirish down to the ground by his long hair. We were all shocked. We had never seen SRK behave this way before," said an eyewitness.
"Before anyone could react, Baba Dewan, the owner of Aurus, ran in and intervened. SRK told Dewan to keep out. Dewan said the place belonged to him and he must intervene. The fight would've been prolonged had Sanjay Dutt not pulled SRK away from the ugly scene," the eyewitness added. Kunder apparently left immediately. (With additional information from PTI and IANS)

We don't judge anyone from their last hits and flops: Ameesha
9:37 AM
AMI Interviews
Ameesha Patel talks about her new role as producer, her career mistakes and writing a special role for Sanjay Dutt
How do you like your new role as a producer?
I love it because I know I can still be the diva, an actress and I have somebody here doing the dirty work (laughs). I don't have to be at every meeting because I trust Kuunal.
You have opened the production house Ameesha Patel Production with your best friend, Kuunal Goomer. Is it a good idea to mix business with friendship?
While I was apprehensive about starting my business ventures with my other friends, with Kuunal I knew it would only grow into something better. After God if I trust someone it is Kuunal. It was his dream to start this production house. He felt that I was wasting my education and I needed to do more with myself.
Both the directors you have signed Priyadarshan and David Dhawan didn't have a good run at the box office, recently.
But they have also given 40 hits. We are honoured to have them on board. Being in this industry for 12 years, I have gone though the valleys and the peaks and seen the cyclical changes. When Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan can be written off, who are we? Therefore, we don't judge anyone from their last hits and flops.
Will you act in all your home ventures?
Yes, because I am young, pretty and a good actress. But our doors are open to all the talented actors. I am also working in movies outside my home production like Race 2, Shortcut Romeo, Bhaiyyaji Superhit with Sunny Deol.
Will your good friend Sanjay Dutt act in your film?
My production house would be incomplete if Sanju was not part of it. Even if he is not on the mind of any director, we will make sure that there is a special role written for him.
How do you react to your detractors who say that Ameesha has opened her production house because no one else is giving her work?
Is it easier to go get work or to get hundred crore to fund yourself?
You think you got your due as an actor?
Not at all but I will get it now.
What went wrong?
I did not have brains and circumstances did not allow me to take my career in the right direction. I was not a filmy kid and I came around the time when all the star kids including Kareena and Hrithik were being launched. I had to crawl while they were already running. I am still from outside and I don't have a godfather. I did not even have a filmy boyfriend to push me for roles. No Salman was my boyfriend, no Akshay Kumar, none of them. Even Kuunal is from the non-filmy background.
Who is your Prince Charming?
After some terrible mistakes I am still waiting for my Prince Charming. I have never changed men to suit my career. I am a sucker for love.
Will you be able to convince your friends like Hrithik and Shah Rukh who are very busy to work in your films?
So many producers want David Dhawan and Priyadarshan but we managed to rope them. Likewise if we have a role for Hrithik or Shah Rukh we are confident enough to get them.

Ameesha at Mani (Gandhiji's) Bhavan
10:24 PM
Amisha NEWS
Ameesha at mani bhavan ,Gandhijis historic home in mumbai
Around ten days ago, to flag off the New Year and gear up for the Republic Day celebrations, the caretakers of Mani Bhavan invited Ameesha Patel for a guided tour of Mahatma Gandhi’s historic home in the city. “I must have been around six years when I first visited this place, taken around by my grandmother, Susheela Patel-Gokhale, who gave me a history lesson on Bapu,” she recalls.
The two-storied bungalow at Laburnum Road where Bapu had lived for 17 years, from 1917 to 1934, and initiated the Civil Disobedience, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat movements, was turned into a memorial, museum and research centre in 1955.
It houses the room he occupied, preserved in its original setting along with his bed, utensils and charkha (spinning wheel).
The place also has a picture gallery, a library with around 50,000 books and periodicals on and by Gandhi, an auditorium where his films are screened and recordings of his speeches played, and the terrace where he was arrested on January 4, 1932.
There is also an ongoing exhibition, Glimpses Of Gandhi, that details Bapu’s journey through miniature figures in 28 tableaux, meticulously researched and painstakingly prepared by Sushila Gokhale-Patel, the wife of barrister Rajani Patel, who divorced him to live quietly and independently in Pune.
“My grandmother was a voracious reader, almost a living encyclopedia, who must have read at least 500 books to research the facts of Gandhiji’s life. She had spent endless hours deciding which important phases of his life needed to be documented through dolls whose features, costumes and body language had to be appropriate to the personalities they depicted, with even the backdrops matching the period in history they were set in,” says Ameesha.
Susheelaji travelled with the exhibition across the country before donating it to the Mani Bhavans in Delhi and Mumbai.
“A few years before she passed away, she supervised the renovation work, refreshing the miniatures as she camped out with the workers for weeks,” reminisces Ameesha.
Mani Bhavan today is a must-visit for tourists, both Indian and foreign, with even American President Barack Obama and wife Michelle stopping there for an hour during their visit to the city.
“I’m just disappointed that not too many Mumbaikars visit the exhibition, many haven’t even heard about Mani Bhavan,” rues the actor who has visited it several times in the past.
For Ameesha, seeing the familiar faces, was like going back in time to her childhood and her first lesson in Indian history.
“This time my grandmother wasn’t there beside me but I had only to look at the dolls to feel her presence,” says an emotional Ameesha.
“The placard bearing her name didn’t mean much to her but when I ran my fingers over it, I felt so proud. That day, I wasn’t Ameesha Patel, the actor, I went back to being Susheela Patel-Gokhale’s granddaughter and it was a humbling experience.”
