Ameesha Patel plays the guessing game with Hrithik Roshan

We spotted the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hain couple at an event and it looked like the two were catching up after a long time

The two started their careers together with Kaho Naa Pyar Hain. Hrithik got off to a flying start after his debut while Patel is still struggling to make a mark in the industry. Although the duo did come together again in Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, the pair’s chemistry was no longer the same. The charm had fizzled out and the abysmal script didn’t help either. The once-hit onscreen couple ended up going their own way and has never been cast together again.

Recently we came across a very cute and candid picture, in which Ameesha was seen covering Hrithik’s eyes from behind. This photograph, taken at a party thrown by the Ambanis, refreshed good ol’ memories of the days when these starry-eyed kids entered B-town and created waves with their spunk and style in KNPH. Now we don’t know how long Roshan took to guess his first ever co-star’s voice, but we assume it wouldn’t have been that hard, once Ms Patel mumbled something in her squeaky monotone

Ameesha’s bikini act: This time it’s for reel

The makers of Race 2 have decided to put the actress in a bikini. And though producer Ramesh Taurani was quite hesitant to broach the topic about her dress code in the film, Ameesha, we believe, was more than game.

In fact, in a seqeunce immortalised by Bo Derek in a Bond flick, and copied ad naseum with disastrous effect by a bunch of Bollywood starlets, the actress will be seen emerging from the water in a two-piece. In fact, when she was told about the scene, Ameesha immediately fished out her I Pad started showing pictures of a recent photoshoot with her in a range of designer bikinis. Guess, all that practice will now come in handy.

Ameesha, who wore a yellow two piece set in YRF's Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic had at the time become the talk of the town. The actress had later said that she did not believe in donning a bikini when it wasn't necessary for the character. Guess this time she has reason enough for it. After all, we learnt that the actress would be playing a role similar to that of Sameera Reddy's in Race. Ameesha remained unavailable for comment.

A hot new Ameesha

After shedding her old image, Ameesha Patel is now shooting for three films simultaneously and has pushed her home production to July

Ameesha Patel's maiden venture as a producer, directed by David Dhawan, has been pushed till July due to her busy schedule. The actress, who is currently working on Shortcut Romeo with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Superhit Bhaiiyaji with Sunny Deol and Abbas Mustan's Race 2, ironically, has no dates to lend for her own home production tentatively titled, Paradise Street.

Hot new image

We hear that Ameesha will be seen in a brand new hot and sexy look in the film. The petite actress recently had a look test for the film. She strongly feels that her new image is something she loves and takes it as a challenge to portray this new image with elegance and class.

She has been sweating it out in the gym to get the hot bod and the results have already started showing. She has been getting a lot of compliments from almost all directors, actors and producers. Her face looks fresher than ever and she believes that 2012 and 2013 will be the best years of her life.

About the film

A source reveals, "Paradise Street is set in the 1960s and is based in Paris. Ameesha plays a hooker for the first time. The story has been written by Yunus Sajawal and it's a two-hero film."

David Dhawan who is currently busy with the last schedule of Chashm-e-Buddoor will start working on detailed scripting and signing actors for the film post April. Ameesha says, "We wanted our first film to be something that we all would be proud of and Paradise Street for sure is something we all are very excited about."

Different ideas

Writer Yunus Sajawal has been working with David Dhawan since many years. Apart from writing for all the films in Rohit Shetty's Golmaal franchise, he has also written Shetty's next, Chennai Express. "Working with Yunus is a pleasure and his ideas are always very different.

He also believes that Davidji's film is very different from the regular comedies that he has been making," says Ameesha. Musician duo, Sajid-Wajid has been roped in to score the music for the film. "When Davidji casually met Sajid-Wajid and narrated them a one-liner, they immediately fell in love with the concept and are very excited to work with us on this project" ends Ameesha.

Ameesha's office is a home-away-from-home

Ameesha Patel's production house in Mumbai has a perfect homely atmosphere where happiness quotient is a priority and productivity is an obvious result, writes Nimisha Tiwari

What can a visitor expect from the office of one of the prettiest production house owners in India? Well, it's an easy guess - a well decorated and comfortable space. And Ameesha Patel's office absolutely fits the bill. Situated in a quiet lane in suburban Mumbai, the office is almost like a 'home-away-from-home.' There are well-lit seating areas, fully functional pantry, conference area, aptly ventilated utility spaces and then, of course, the boss's cabin, which has a splash of pink. Says Ameesha, "Pink's my favourite colour and so my cabin is an extension of that colour preference. But the rest of the office is personalised according to other's choices." Her business partner, Kuunal Goomer likes robust shades and thus there's a combination of wood and black, which rule the colour palette in his cabin. A meeting room has cushy black leather chairs and a teak wood conference table. And the entire space has a common feature of scented candles that are lit in the corners to give a 'calming' effect.

The artefacts: Candle stands, photo frames and Buddha paintings are displayed at the assembling room for visitors. "Every time I travel, I pick some little interesting artefacts that will suit my office theme," adds Ameesha. A life-size picture of her grandmother adorns the walls at the reception area. "My grandma's blessings are always with me. She's been my strength throughout," explains the actor-producer.

Terrace spot: After a long days' work, the business partners are often joined by their team staff and other visitors at the terrace area, which has lamps hanging on the walls and fairy lights dimly-lit inside. Frangipani flower pots dot the terrace with a corner in the East dedicated to the Tulsi plant. "My friends, producers and directors often perch here for hours on the cushioned bamboo chairs and chat all evening long. My staff's birthday cakes are cut here and we have a great time together. It's more of a bonding spot for us, also our favourite," Kuunal and Ameesha say.

The detailing: Ameesha's eye for detailing is tremendous. In fact, the door knob in her cabin has three swarovski crystals embedded in it. The placement of furniture, showcase of trophies and even tall candles are located according to a perfectly chalked out plan to give an uncluttered feel, positive feel. Everyone's welcome at Ameesha's office and the actress personally plays the warm hostess with great elan.
