She donned a red halter tie-back dress with high-low hemline at Dewan’s Christmas Eve Bash and a similar emerald tone dress with twist detail back at Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th B’day Bash. Both the times, she styled her look with gold heels and matching metallic clutches.

Ameesha Patel who has had a year full of work from all sides may it be films, events, endorsements or the way her production company (Ameesha Patel Productions) is shaping up is very happy with the way 2012 has gone for her.

The actress was recently spotted shooting in Mumbai for the TVC for Gitanjali. Ameesha is very proud to have been associated with this brand and is happy with the way her look has been presented. She will soon be doing a photo shoot as well for the brand. Ameesha plans to celebrate the New Year with her co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh since the producers of the film Shortcut Romeo will be unveiling the first look of the film in the New Year.

The launch party will be in south Mumbai for the entire crew and select folk besides businessmen from south Bombay. Ameesha’s business partner Kuunal Goomer and his wife Shammli too will be accompanying her. Both Ameesha and Neil are super excited with the way the film has shaped up as both of them have a release each before Shortcut Romeo.

Race 2 releases in January while Neil’s film David releases in February. The producers plan to release Shortcut Romeo in April as of now. Post December 31, Ameesha will be leaving on a mini vacation to Thailand with her business partner Kuunal and his wife Shammli. A few more close friends will also be joining them. Looks like Ameesha couldn’t have asked for a better way to end 2012.

Ameesha Patel has no qualms praising her 'Race 2' co-stars Deepika, Jacqueline
Ameesha Patel who is playing a bubbly girl in a special appearance in Race 2 doesn't have any issues praising her female costars. According sources, at a recent party Ameesha was asked about her looks that how come she's looking more younger day-by-day and the reason for her looking so fresh in the Race 2 promos.She quipped, `If I managed to look even half as good as my two co-stars Jacqueline and Deepika on screen, I would consider myself a lucky girl. The two have a brilliant role in the film and have done a great job and when producer Rameshji (Taurani) came to me with the script after he had already cast them, I laughed and asked him for either of those two roles. But today God willing I am happy with the way my role in the film has shaped up and I hope my audiences find me good in it.

The actress besides her films and events is currently preparing for her TVC shoot for brand Gitanajali which takes place in few days from today and also will be on talk show soon where she will be seen talking about various topics. Clearing the rumors about Glamstar brand which she recently endorsed is funded by her business partner Kuunal Goomer, Ameesha laughs and says, `All I can say is from what I hear and from what people have already seen in theatres, hoarding or may be it be in the papers over Rs 2 crore has already been spent by the owners of the brand on the publicity for their product which will be in over 200 stores before April 2013 and in next four months Rs 5 crore is what they will be spending in publicity of the product. Well if I or my partner is doing this we must be really rich to do this.

Ameesha further adds, `People talking about you means your growth is actually affecting their lives or probably somewhere down the line they are shocked. My priority is to focus on work and not care about the rest of the rumours that revolve around me.

I love my life and I am happy that things are looking upwards. I am working with wonderful co-stars like Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sunny Deol, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez. In all 2012 has truly been a wonderful year for me.

Date issues and ever-changing shoot schedules make the actress opt out of the Sunny Deol starrer

Ameesha Patel who has always been very fond of her Gadar director Anil Sharma has walked out of the film. According to sources, `Ameesha's busy schedule for her other commitments wasn't something that the director was too happy about.

Those close to him say that Anil Sharma is a self-minded person and feels that if he has signed her for the film she should be available for him whenever he needs her. He is of the view that she shouldn't do any other work till his film doesn't release which hasn't gone down well with the actor.`

Ameesha is known to be professional and always on time on the sets. She always adjusts dates for her producers be it for the producer of Race 2 or any other film. The actress is apparently upset with the several date changes that have been made.

The source adds, `The director has taken her so much for granted that it's over three months and the director has not even given the actor a signing amount. She has not even made a contract with the actor and in spite of that Ameesha went ahead with her commitment.`

The sources further adds, `Ameesha not only had meetings with her costume designer Neeta Lulla who also had started working on costumes without being paid for but also sat for several story narrations.`

Ameesha who is always known to believe in maintaining relationships did not let all this come in the way of the film. But when dates kept changing month after months, it affected the schedules of her four other films.

She was supposed to be shooting in November then got pushed to December. The source continues, `Her December dates were further changed to January and now when she asked for certain dates so she could commit to her other films and endorsements shoots the director went ahead and said that he's still unsure and many changes could be further made. All this made Ameesha take her decision.`

Further, the delay was getting endless and when Ameesha asked the director for 2013 dates, his answer was anytime between February and April and she must keep 60 days for the film. Ameesha who's a very professional person found this very unprofessional and felt it's better she backed out of the film.

Confirming the development Ameesha says, `Yes, I am backing out of the film due to several complications of dates and delays in the project. If I continue to be in the film it will affect the dates and planning of my other projects. I have utmost respect for Anil Sharma and I am hopeful that we will work together again sometime in future.`

Ameesha Patel who has always been known for playing roles where her character is bubbly, sweet or positive has now geared up to essay a negative girl in her upcoming film.The actress who has also played strong characters like in Humraaz will soon be seen playing a strong persona in Shortcut Romeo with Neil Nitin Mukesh as well.

Ameesha recently finished her dubbing for the film and is very excited with the way it has shaped up. She is hoping audiences appreciate her performance as always. “In her own home production Ameesha will be seen playing a dark negative character and a fast girl which is a very challenging role,” says a source.

So whether it’s Race 2 where she plays a cute special appearance or a Superhit Bhaiyaji where she plays the main lead with Sunny Deol or be it Desi Magic or Shortcut Romeo. Ameesha is enjoying it all doing various roles and portraying grey shades is something she’s very charged up about.
