The actress had charged Rs 2 crore eight years ago for a Telugu film
Ameesha Patel was part of a Rs 100 crore
plus club with Gadar over a decade ago. She had a huge hit as her debut
film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai followed by Humraaz and her most recent Rs
100 crore club addition is Race 2
The actress has always enjoyed whatever work has come her way. Not
only did she stand out in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic in the song Lazy Lamhe
but also loved working with directors like Priyadarshan in Bhool
Bhulaiya or budget films like Honeymoon Travels Private Ltd which also
saw box office success.
From the very beginning she has been a
part of successful Bollywood films but was the first actress ever to
have three hits back-to-back in her very first 15 months of her debut.
All her South films were huge hits be it films like Badri with Pavan Kalyan, Naani with Mahesh Babu or Narisimhanaidu with Junior NTR were among the few of her hit films she was acting in.
According to sources from the Telugu industry, Ameesha is in talks with a big Telugu film production house, who according to sources has offered her a huge amount and a role that she wouldn’t turn down ever.
Confirms Ameesha, “Yes, I have been lucky to have worked with some big actors in Bollywood and down South and I am considering this project depending on my dates matching with my other films like Shortcut Romeo, Bhaiyyaji Superhit and Desi Magic. Touchwood there’s too much on my plate as of now. Talks are almost on final stage. Once all points are sorted I’m sure an announcement will be made soon.”
Apart from the South film, Ameesha has been busy with her next release Shortcut Romeo where her producer-director Susi Ganeshan feels this will be her best performance till today.
Ameesha’s next Shortcut Romeo with Neil Nitin Mukesh will release in June 2013.
