An unexploited territory! (smiles) People have been foolish not to have me as a brand ambassador so far.Shah Rukh Khan,Katrina Kaif and many others look amazing in what they are doing but there is also an Ameesha who has certain qualities,which she brings to a brand that others cannot.

Such as

People have often complimented me on my flawless skin and lovely hair.Glamstar had the guts to come to me.Perhaps they had seen me wearing different sunglasses and they look good on me.I knew they would go all out with the propaganda.(pauses)

You need to pump in a lot of money if you really want a brand to register.It wouldnt have happened if I were the brand ambassador for a soap.

But where are these glares available People hardly find them only a shop in Bandra had a few pairs

I was invited to their recent Mata Ki Chowki but I was out of town.Sanju has always been protective about me.When I went for the Agneepath party,he said ye chaddi pehen ke kya ghoom rahi hai The way he doesnt want his daughter to be a part of the industry,he wants me to get married to a rich guy and sit at home.He even came to me with a proposal to marry one of his Gujju friends in Chicago.

How happy are you with your acting career

My film with Aamir,Salman and Hrithik flopped.Who would have expected films with such top heroes to do badly Yes,I did some bad films but that happens with everybody.I yearn to do a lot more work.Now,I have some good films coming up- Shortcut Romeo,Race 2,Bhaiyyaji Superhit and Singh Saab The Great.As an actor,I dont think even Amitabh Bachchan is satisfied.

But why did you disappear from the acting circuit

I wanted to set up my production house with Kunal Goomer.And I didnt want to do it halfheartedly.We had a mission and we accomplished it.I couldnt have done it when I was ten years older.

Everything is a risk today.I have always taken risks.Did any actress after her maiden superhit play a middle-aged mother like I did in Gadar

But why have you not produced a film yet

We were never supposed to do films with David Dhawan and Priyadarshan immediately.I guess thats what led to speculations.The two of them are very much on board but we are first going with Desi Magic wherein I play a double role.That film is Kunals labour of love,his idea,his story.

Ameesha is new face of jewellery brand

The actress, who is on a roll these days, is indeed loving the way things are moving ahead.

Ameesha Patel has been busy since the past three months with her sunglasses brand promotion Glamstar. She was also seen recently in New Delhi for an event where she was officially announced  as the new face for Gitanjali Jewels.

The actress, who is on a roll these days, is indeed loving the way things are moving ahead.

"Yes, I have just signed the brand and am very proud to be associated with it," she said.

She further added: "Due to my personal life, my professional life had taken a backseat some years back, but now I am ready to get back to where I belonged. In a matter of time I hope to please my audiences soon with my performances as well." 

Talking about her chemistry with Sunny Deol, the 37-year-old admitted that she doesn’t know if the duo can rework the magic from their last super-hit film, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. “I honestly don’t know if it will be like that (Gadar). Gadar set a huge benchmark in the Indian cinema. Having said that, I am sure it won’t be a disappointment. Sunny Deol is someone you can learn a lot from. It’s always good to work with him.”

The actor also shared her love for the Capital. “I love Delhi for its amazing food, its culture and because I have a lot of friends here. I also love the butter chicken, kebabs and Thai food at Imperial Hotel. For shopping I like going to the Emporio mall,” Amisha said.

Sunny, Ameesha's 'Singh Sahab' to go on floors soon

Filmmaker Anil Sharma, who is bringing back Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol together for a movie after 2001 hit "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha", says the new film, titled " Singh Sahab - The Great" will go on floors towards the end of this month.

"'Singh Sahab - The Great' will go on floors by November end and it's a 50-day shoot till Jan 20. We are planning to shoot the film in Bhopal and Indore," Sharma told IANS.

Sharma has maintained a low profile post "Veer", but he is now ready to set the ball rolling with action-comedy "Singh Sahab - The Great".
He is confident the chemistry between Ameesha and Sunny will work in favour of his movie.
"Sunny and Ameesha look good together. They both got good reviews for their chemistry in 'Gadar...'. Ameesha is a good friend and I am sure they will recreate the same magic on the silver screen. They both have good roles in this film," said Sharma.
Talking further about the film, he said: "'Singh Sahab - The Great' is a satire. The film has entertainment, action and a mix of everything. This film will be one of Sunny's finest roles."
The director, who has also directed movies like "Apne" and "Madhoshi", says his 2003 film "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy", has a scope for sequel.
"I don't want to make a sequel just for the heck of it. I feel the stories of 'Gadar...' and 'Veer' have ended. My film 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy' has a scope for sequel. Maybe in future I can think about it," he said.The 45-day filming schedule includes shoots in about two dozen locations in the Bhopal, apart from locations in Indore and Maheshwar. "The total budget is about Rs 35 crore.Amisha Patel and Amrita Rao would be seen in Bhopal in November".he added. 'Sunny plays the role of a collector in the film, which is a satirical comedy on corruption," said Sharma. However, fans in anticipation of catching a glimpse of Sunny Deol would have to wait until December, as the actor is currently busy shooting in London.

Ameesha Patel turns down lucrative item song

 Time changes for everyone and Ameesha Patel is the biggest example of it. According to sources, “Ameesha was recently offered a huge amount for an item song for a South film which she refused.

The producers were ready to pay her an insane amount and wanted to shoot the song as per her dates and availability. It was to be shot in three different locations where Ameesha would be seen in her sexiest best. The director of the film has been chasing her since he had noticed her sunglasses brand Glamstar’s hoardings all over.”

The source adds, “Ameesha is busy with her numerous Bollywood projects and plans to first make her mark to a level she had targetted in her mind.” Clarifies Ameesha, “It’s not about the money as of now making money is not my target. It’s good quality films under good banners which is what I’m happy doing.” The actress has a lot in her kitty and is very happy with the way people have reacted to her new look. She is excited about Race 2 and Shortcut Romeo that release in a gap of a month from each other in January and March 2013. She will be busy from December for the promotions of the films. 
Post which she will be ready to start Sunny Deol’s film Singh Sahib The Great and her home production Ameesha Patel Productions’ first film which she has been wanting to begun since a while Ameesha is also all praises for her business partner Kuunal Goomer. She says, “Kuunal has been very patient for the last six months and has been very happy with me signing outside films.
He is very happy with me doing more outside films since he feels that an actress gets her real due when people chase her and not when she creates her own dreams.” His patience will be answered soon when Ameesha will give him dates for their own home production film Desi Magic. Kuunal will be leaving for Turkey soon with his team since their film will be mostly shot there in locations that have never been shown before. A glossy look and great content is what Kuunal aims for. As the source puts it, “With so much happening in Ameesha’s life, God is great and she couldn’t have asked for more.”
