Ameesha Patel who was offered zillion offers to perform at various events for the 31st night never agreed for any of them.
According to source close to her, “The moment Ameesha came to know
from her director of the film Shortcut Romeo where she is paired
opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh that there was an event being held especially
for them to unveil the first look of the film, Ameesha canceled all her
previous appointments. As the film is very dear to her and she wouldn't
miss such a special occasion for any amount of commercial gain.”
The source further states, “Shortcut Romeo is a very difficult film and Ameesha is looking forward to it the most.
She pushed the holiday plans she had made with her business partner Kuunal Goomer and his wife Shammli. Close family friend Sheetal Mafatlal was also planning a post-31st event for which all left on the eve.”
On being contacted, Ameesha laughs about her holidays and says, “Yes we all partied till wee hours of the morning and shopped till we weren’t exhausted.
Truly it was a memorable and a much-needed break, after which I will have to get back to a rather hectic schedule.”
Source at the party revealed that Ameesha and Neil have simply loved the look of their upcoming film and keeping their fingers crossed.

Ameesha is currently back to Mumbai and has already reported to her chalk-a-block schedule. She will be busy with her work which will include outside films, endorsements along with her own home production film.”

Ameesha's RACE2 Tanishq Jewellery Video Snaps
The leading ladies of Abbas-Mustan’s next use jewellery to promote their forthcoming action thriller
Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel play super glamorous chicks in Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2. And the makers of this action flick are using the charm and sex appeal of their leading ladies to promote the film.
The producers have tied up with the jewellery brand Tanishq, and the girls will be seen wearing the brand’s specially designed accessories in the movie. And the babes have also done a hot promotional photoshoot wearing these pieces of jewellery that they don on the big screen. Interestingly, we couldn’t really spot this jewellery on these heroines in any of the stills, posters or trailers!
Anyway, Ameesha is playing the character of Anil Kapoor’s ditsy assistant who asks interesting questions but at the wrong time, and she is seen wearing feminine Barbie-dollish pink ring and girly earrings. Jacqueline plays a grungy and edgy girl who sports chunky bangles. Deepika on the other hand plays a charming and cunning girl and is seen donning modern and delicate neck pieces and cuffs.
No doubt that all the three babes – the girl-next-door Ameesha, the classy Deepika and the edgy Jacqueline – are looking smashing in this photoshoot.

Ameesha plays Anil Kapoor's ditzy assistant in Race 2
Ameesha Patel has a special appearance in Race 2 as Anil Kapoor's assistant. The actress plays a ditzy character.
About her role, producer Ramesh Taurani says, "I was sure Ameesha would fit the bill perfectly. She loved the role. Though her role isn't big, it has substance. We convinced her to take up the role the film has a lot of other big names as well." Taurani adds, "We have worked with Ameesha before and she is a thorough professional. She has also worked with Abbas-Mustan before. So everything fell into place when we were working out the details for this film."
Ameesha, too, is happy as she thinks she was getting typecast. "I was only getting roles of a certain kind and wanted to break that image." The actress plays a ditzy, dimwit character who brings comic relief in the movie which is essentially a thriller.
"Playing a silly and stupid character was challenging, but I'm glad it has turned out well. The very fact that I get to be part of a film which has actors like Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and others is a huge thing for me. I am very happy with the way things have turned out," sums up Ameesha.
Race 2, produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Tips Films, releases January 25.
